Horror fan or not, this list is what makes October special here in Los Angeles and truly is a full on celebration of cinema. My “regular” monthly recs featured in the last post are what you’ll encounter 99% of the time on the revival scene, great film screenings with great crowds.

This list takes it up a notch—these are parties, events and special outings we only get in October. I encourage even the horror-shy to peruse because there’s bound to be a costume party or live score that intrigues (maybe not a 12 hour horror marathon (you know, work up to it next year), or I’ve got a couple Counter Programming recs for those that need a break from the blood, death, and gore of it all.
